WHAT!!!!!! Ok something is definitely wrong, you should be getting fullspeed with efb to texture. I get fullspeed with efb to texture even in recent revisions (although I admit I haven't tried anything past 5981 yet). Now you have peaked my curiosity. Can you try using r5016 and tell me what framerates your getting: http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html?list=91

Quote:What OS are you using? I got a heavy increase in stability moving from XP 32-bit to Win7 64-bit.

I'm guessing you mean to say performance, not stability.

Actually both but crashes were happening more often ex, MP1 and MP2 and those are GC games which usually run better.

Like I said, they can't fix me. Big Grin

I'll edit this post in a few to let you know.

Highest speed I got in Prime was 88%, at the title screen. 640x480, no AA/AF/Filters. Dual-core, EFB to texture... all that good stuff.

Edit: Oh hey, forgot to disable audio throttle. Minus quite a few bugs in the intro, it runs nearly full speed the entire time now. Big Grin
How could you forget that? That is about the first thing you disable along with DSound to 100% :p

Because I dont' do much of transferring between builds.

Ah neither but it's there in wiki of basic options for a good start I think. Anyway, happy you're getting full speed in MP1 now. I wished I had that kind of performance when I played, I had 10-15FPS max at some bosses which made them very, very easy..Sad

Quote:Prime is slow

Let me guess, your using a recent revision and your using efb to ram. The new hybrid efb to ram implementation is to slow for even the best systems and it's utterly pointless for games like metroid prime that don't need efb scaling.
Try again, it's set to texture.

It's definitely not my settings, everyone I've talked to says they are good. My rigs have had a history of sucking at dolphin and excelling at everything else though.

Simply turn off HT to get a massive speed boost, HT slows dolphin down a lot !

^Wow I can't believe I completely forgot about that. Yeah zurginator tell us if that changes anything.
I can't bump HT right now as I'm trying to put a lead on my folding nemesis. I WILL check that out though.
I will laugh if that was the cause all along. I still can't believe this entire time I didn't even think about that or realize you had HT on.
