When i start up the game, it runs smoothly and well. I see the commercial intro and logos such as " acclaim" etc. Then the title comes up and it says " Press start" After doing so, the game greys out and crashes immediately with the only option to close the program. After, a little window pops up in the corner for my screen claiming DEP - (Data Execution Prevention) Has stopped it. I've looked for solutions online on how to disable DEP, and i tried it. But whenever i tried to run Vexx again, the same crash happened at the same place in-game but this time without the little bubble popping up DEP stopped it. ( I turned DEP back on later)
I also tried to put Dolphin in the list of DEP exceptions, but it no way would it let me. It told me it absolutely had to run with DEP on.

Does anyone have a reasonable explanation as to why this is happening?
Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated, and i apologize if this was too long to read.
Which operating system are you running on? Try turning DEP off in the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply! And it seems you've edited my post ( If that's even possible? O.o) since it says my post was last edited by you and i see something is missing from it? I suppose there was a reason to it but the part removed was not important. Anyway, i run Windows Vista Home premium. (32 bit) <-- Dont know if that has to do with anything but i put it in anyway! Also, how do i go about turning DEP off in the BIOS? I don't know what BIOS is, and i would very much appreciate a thorough walkthrough on how to do this! Thanks alot! Big Grin
I have moderator privileges on this forum and am able to remove parts that are not appropriate for the community.

As the BIOS settings can cause some damage if you are not familiar with it, let's try the safe route first:

Click "Control Panel" -> "System"
Open "Advanced system settings"
Click the "Settings" button under "Performance"
Click "Data Execution Prevention"
Click "Turn on DEP for all programs..."
Click "Add"
Select dolphin.exe
Click "OK"

Then try Dolphin again.

I think i Remember trying this earlier i , but I tried going into the menu you said again, but this time it was all greyed out. It did not let me tick any boxes or press anything within " Data execution prevention" EDIT: It said down at the bottom that i need to be administator in this computer ( Which i am supposed to be) And that i need to use the file bcedit.exe , whatever that means. Also, other games ( Atleast one ) seems to be able to run on dolphin fine with the DEP on, just vexx does not.
It is pretty strange that it only occurs with Vexx. Not sure how to fix the problem.
I'm having the exact same problem.

With r6901 I can go in game, but there are major graphics problems as well as crackly sound.

With the newer revisions (r7412) it crashes exactly where the OP describes it.

Hi everyone.
I´m really thankful to all the people who made this Dolphin emulator come true, I really appreciate.
I´m having the same problem, once the game enter the ring screen while starting it starts to emmit a weird and loud sound, only to crash seconds later.
I´ve seen that someone posted this problem a while back, but closed his own request by saying "problem solved". Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I´d love to play this game, it´s been a long time since I last tried.

Thanks a lot, keep up the excellent work!
MMU has to be checked in Game Properties (click right on your game)

Nice! Now I can continue, but the awful noise seems to keep working. Is there any special configuration besides the MMU matter?

Thanks a lot for your time!
