Is there any way to set the EFB to be a completely transparent texture?

I'm disabling EFB copy in Wind Waker to improve the quality of distant objects (with EFB copy on they look kind of blurry and antialiasing has no effect), unfortunately it means that some effects cause the screen to flicker black, namely anything that uses the framebuffer. With my (limited) understanding I think it's displaying whatever is in the framebuffer at that point, causing it to be black if I didn't enable copying to it.
Anyways, it'd be nice if it was just transparent.
Can't make it transparent but their are a few things you can do in that situation. You can use a projection hack like bleach vs. crusade or TP bloom hack to move the efb to behind the output frame but that can screw up a lot of effects and HUD elements in games so it's generally not recommended. As for wind waker use efb to ram and turn off cpu efb access to get rid of the distant bluriness/pixelation/loss of AA without losing efb effects.
