I just upgraded to windows seven ultimate and now everythings all funky...a bunch of programs wont work like evga percision....my norton is completely offlines says i dont own it and bull shit like tht....grrr i hate windows seven now and none of my emulators work either...it says missing xinit.dll or sumthin like tht....ughhhhhh...
ohhh and worst of fucking all...my nvidia graphics card dissappeared completely....it says tht i have a standard vga graphics adapter with absolutely no power to it...its all zero shader clock everything.....idk what to do
updated....got nvidia working but nortons gonna be harder...ugh idk if theyll even help or not... i doubt it

well u need to dl all the drivers, directx, etc.
And you'll hate windows xp (or any other OS for that matter) if you reinstall one, why? coz it's a goddamn bare OS. You need to reinstall everything else if you install a NEW Operating System.

Sometimes, antivirus are the pain in our lives.... Sometimes not working and sometimes they work so much that PC stops working.....
norton is gay. avira av, comodo firewall, spybot....all you need.
you need w7 drivers for everything (and 32 / 64 bit, to be precise, depending on which version you installed)

ive used XP drivers on win7 before.
you just need to know what you need and how to use them :-P (but it isn't recommended. 1/3 can cause random BSOD's cause the drivers just aren't made for win7 )
at least gpu & bluetooth peripherals, some benchmark software didn't like 32-bit drivers from xp when I upgraded :\

I suppose this can be considered a hilarious case of user error and a user trying to pin blame on the operating system for their mistake.
