He souldnt be able to OC in the bios they should be locked since he has a newer HP Computer pretty much all HP computers are locked for the bios and you cant OC at all in them...the only way is with software


Try this software..its called Easy tune 5 Pro or Easytune 6 if tht doesnt work

just google it...it has pretty much all the settings of the reguar bios but are still a little diff...but just be really careful with them...it is software after all
google for a good tutorial of how to do it
And if they don't work you can always try updating the BIOS to unlock them, i'm not sure how easy that will be on your motherboard, i've only ever had gigabytes boards and they all come with software which do it for you.
There is a good probability that easytune do not work.. updating the bios is the only way....
(can u flash a bios...??)
You forget 1 very important thing: If he has an HP, he won't have the cooling capacity to OC.
Well, I don't have HP then.... Tongue
And yeah, overclocking is somewhat difficult on OEM PCs as they lock their BIOS and don't provide any provision for it....
