First let me say I love this emulator to death. Play tons of my old GC games that I didn't have the GC component cables for anymore. Now I get them HD which is awesome. Smile

Now....got a weird problem here.. My Black MotionPlus bundle detects in Dolphin, and the pointer is fast and accurate and all buttons work. Menus are good. But I go to play Wii Sports and play Golf, and when I do the golf swing motion it's like the guy's swing onscreen is lagging behind my movement by about 1-2 seconds. Not like on the Wii at all. Same thing in Tiger Woods 11. It's not responsive at all. This is a new computer and the game framerates rarely dip below max. Undecided

I have tried several Dolphin builds (the very latest 6092 and also 2.0), MS Bluetooth stack and then BlueSoleil stack thinking that might help, different USB ports, etc. Same problem still happens.

Dolphin build is SVN R6061 64bit running on Win7 64-bit, and using a black motion plus bundle, nyko wireless sensor bar and this dongle:

Any suggestions on what to try next? Do you think my WiiMote is bad? Some kind of accelerometer lag? Crappy bluetooth dongle?
It could be your bluetooth dongle maybe.
Are other programs able to use your wiimote with accelerometer data successfully?
You could try WiinRemote.
Well, an update on the situation.

Things I've tried:
Reinstalling DX9. I use the June 2010 update.
I tried WiinRemote and it shows all the proper accelerometer graph spikes with no delay.
Wiimote still works fine on real Wii system.

So at this point I'm gonna assume it's the dongle, unless there is some kind of really strange Dolphin setting that could be causing this. But how can it be the dongle if all of the other pointing features and buttons work just fine...

Any dongle recommendations before I pick one up? I was thinking one of these two:

If your wiimote works without problems on WiinRemote, your dongle isn't causing the problem.

Are these only motion plus games that give you the input delay?
Not motion plus, just regular old Wii Sports. IR works perfectly, and so do sudden motions like for Tennis swings, or for NSMB when you flick the wiimote up to use the beanie cap. Those work fine. It's just the golf swing motion that's lagging.

I don't have Mario Kart Wii to test the tilt, but I bet that would narrow it down if there was lag on that, too...
What about Wii Sports - Boxing? That game uses the nunchuk as well as the wiimote's acceleration.
Do your golf games use the nunchuk?

While experiencing the motion delay, are buttons delayed as well?
Nah, boxing is good. So is baseball. Gameplay is fine. And I tried every Wii Play game, and the only time I felt the pointer was lagging was during the Pool game when using the accelerometer to aim before pressing B to take your shot. Same thing I kinda noticed when using WiinRemote and using accelerometer to control the cursor. There's a bit of "wet noodle" effect there, where your movement takes a split-second to register, but I don't know if those are normal.

There has never been an issue with delayed input on the buttons or the IR. They always react instantly.

I just ordered a new dongle with a Toshiba stack since I'm out of ideas. Perhaps it's some kind of dongle-to-wiimote incompatibility? Oddball question, but Black and white wiimotes are internally identical, right? No chance it's my black one? I'm just totally stumped.
Black and white wiimotes are probably internally identical as long as they are genuine Nintendo wiimotes.
Back with another update. I tried the Cirago BTA-3210 adapter with Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and Windows 7 support. I install the Toshiba stack, picked the wiimote right up, tested in WiinRemote and fired up Wii Sports and.....

Same problem.

Jeez, I have tried every single plugin configuration from DX11 to OpenGL, and all sound options and framerate-related options checked and unchecked, and I still get this damned lag on the wiimote with playing golf games, no matter whether the game is running at 30 FPS, 60 FPS, or 100 FPS.

I dunno wtf is going on, but it's not the bluetooth or the games or the emulator as I have tried many versions of those. Maybe it's something with Windows or my graphics card. DirectX install from June 2010 says I'm current.

Has anyone got Wii Sports playing Golf with a Wiimote just fine on Win7 64-bit???

BTW, not a total loss, since the Cirago is way smaller and easier to use than my old dongle. Bluesoleil was a huge pain and the Toshiba thing seems better.
Have you tried the new wiimote plugin at all?
