also in game comparisons between games for both platforms. here are my tests:
(sonic unleashed) pcsx2:45-60fps dolphin:10-18fps(half speed)
(DBZ BT3) pcsx2:50-60fps no frameskip dolphin:30-40fps
but there WERE results where dolphin won:
Bakugan pcsx2:40-60fps(unbearable glitches) dolphin:60-100fps(720p)

Your setup is kind of old thought. I ment gpu for pcsx2 btw. I an 8600GT shouldn't even run aero on w7. If you do use aero try turning it off, your games may increase frames.
it's an 8600GTS, it changes from an 8600GT...it's stronger card. i turn off aero when i play, but i gain no frames...aero isn't a problem. and pcsx2 IS cpu dependent, but is also a lot more gpu dependent than dolphin.

Well, you can have a try. Don't ask so much!

Ok, well I know someone with a 9300 and he couldn't even play CSS with aero on. It was kind of sad actually. But yea, all emulators seem cpu dependent, I was just saying pcsx2 has more gpu dependence than dolphin.

Anywho, 5 - 10 years from now we will be emulating ps3 and 360 games on our pcs. Its just a matter of time before pcs become even stronger.

Dolphin is not better than PCSX2 but PCSX2 keeps improving while Dolphin just changes for better or for worse no one knows... some games work full speed in old revs. and PCSX2 supports almost all PS2 games with better res and graphics, screen enhancements and other useful stuff you can experiment with.
If you look at the pcsx2 project home, you'll see that pcsx2 has a lot fewer commiters, and more owners. I've only followed it a short while but it appears that pcsx2 commits are mostly made by a small core of experienced (in pcsx2) devs, while the work on Dolphin is done by more people and has higher chanses of breaking stuff. But it could be that pcsx2 has less risky/experimental stuff to implement left than Dolphin, pcsx2 has been going on longer I think.
PS2 is a system developed in 1999 and launched 10 years ago, and it's hardware is specced at 50% slower than wii.

Of course it will run faster on a x86 pc. You really can't compare the two. When it comes to GC emulation, though, dolphin is just as advanced as pcsx2.
Try playing SotC and say that again though you have a sufficiently powerful system thus won't be affected. Afaik ps2 is difficult system to emulate because of it tight syncing between the components.

I just hate the save state unpredictability in dolphin while it almost always works beautifully in pcsx2.
ya, savestates are pretty flawless on pcsx2. I stopped using them altogether on dolphin because they'd just corrupt every time I changed to another revision.
Don't compare two completely different emulators, you will get nothing in result
