Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hey guys just wondering if anyone out there is using any usb adapters to plugin their gamecube controller to their pc, which one do you recommend?

I was looking for a few online and they seem hard to come by. I tried using my Adaptoid with an N64 controller, but definitely doesnt work without a second stick. I tried using a PS2->USB adaptor I had lying around, and while there are enough buttons it doesnt feel right at all.

Then I plugged in an Xbox 360 controller and haven't looked back, I recommend it.

I tried that, but every time i go to configure the buttons, it doesnt pick up that i am clicking a button, it shows the gamecube controller, and it shows that a i have a microsoft controller connected but doesnt let me edit the buttons at all. PLZ HELP!!

Sorry, missed your reply until now. Just confirming you are using a recent build of Dolphin? The 2.0 builds are old. Assuming your using a recent one, when I plugged in my 360 controller, under Options->Gamecube Pad Settings a new type of device showed up, "XInput/0/Gamepad". Selecting this allowed all of my 360 buttons/sticks to work.

If thats not working, make sure your controller is showing up to windows. Under control panels, depending on your version of windows, their should be a control panel called Game Controllers. In there the 360 controller should show up as "Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)". Checking the properties of that will allow you to verify all the buttons are working. If thats not showing up, its probably a driver issue.

The driver was built into Windows 7, but from what I can tell the 32bit driver is here:

I have tried products similar to this... not recommended.

I had some problems with getting the L and R sliders to work correctly with Dolphin, however, and the rumble feature is not supported by this adapter.

Cool, wasn't aware Raphnet had that adaptor. I've bought his stuff before and it works great. I'll probably pick a few of these up, thanks for the link.

i have that exact one. dolphins gcpadNew (the only one) doesnt support the joystick. or the c stick. or the rumble. i hope Billard26 or someone will fix this

This is just what I needed, I'm thinking about buying this, with shipping it will cost around $27. However, I've read some not so great reviews for imarketcity.com, has anyone else shopped there that could vouch for it?

Can anyone else confirm that the 3 in 1 joy box does not work with the emulator?

I'm using my PS3 controller to play.
