Besides being an ungrateful ass, Dolphin is actually far better at what it's doing than PCSX2 is. It also generally seems to not rely on hacks to play games. For me, Dolphin is generally far faster as an emulator and the compatibility is very high. If you think you know better, code for it yourself. I love how people insult the coders, and yet are incapable of coding themselves. Such immature hypocrisy. If there's anything holding the emulator authors back, i'd say you're probably one of the reasons. They don't have to feed ungrateful pricks such as yourself. And they shouldn't have to. It would be as if you went into a charity foundation, made a bunch of food, then the people you were feeding started bitching at you about how badly done the food is compared to next door's charity house... What jackassery.
Posters with your views aren't welcome here. You have no business using Dolphin, and you clearly don't like it anyways. Dolphin devs are amazing coders and you could never do what they're doing (otherwise you'd already have fixed what you think is so noobish). Back up your statement with results, or GTFO. Actually, just gtfo, we all know you can't back it up...

they're both great emulators, let's not start comparing here...this thread is about DSP issues, so let's get back to it, eh?

Yeah sorry about that, i love both emulators, but the point stands about gratefulness.
Was that DSP patch back a few pages supposed to do anything to the sound? Because i could never get it to do anything regardless of revision. It didn't postpone the music cutout at all.

The patch was working, but it doesn't seem to be working now for some reason. I know it was working at one time because I tested and confirmed it was working, other members tested and confirmed the same so I am sure it wasn't just me.

I see, you must have used a specific revision that is necessary... Oh well, it only prolonged the inevitable anyways. But at least it gave an idea of HOW to fix it, if only just a little hint. I was just wondering what was wrong for me and not you.

I managed to make the music last for three or four galaxies with the patch in the past, but that doesn't seem the be the case anymore. I wonder if recent DSP changes had anything to do with it..

how am I ungrateful if I just think the PCSX2 team seem better? It is just a personal opinion. You say you think dolphin is superior, see it is the same thing. Funny how you came to the conclusion that I dont like dolphin now you are just making false statements.

Anyways back on topic..
I was looking at Torin's SMG music patch which btw doesn't work and it sparked me to review the current code for AFC. Upon reviewing the code I realized that the current code for AFC is a mess, there's a lot of stuff missing or shortcuts that were taken. I'm going to try re-working the code for AFC, but due to my lack of coding knowledge I am going to need someone who is familiar with coding to help me. It doesn't matter whether it's a Dolphin developer that helps or someone that knows how to code, I would prefer a Dolphin developer to help if possible. I also need someone to tell me where I can find the disassm for the AFC decoder and looping in the Ucode documentation, so we can work with that when piecing in the new AFC code.
If you are reading this Torin and Jack Frost, perhaps we can work together to nail this issue.
