hyperspeed, thank you very much for your hard work on this
May I ask what SVN you're using to load these textures? I looked through the thread here to see, but was unable to find a definitive answer. I tried 6285, 6287, and several others. It appears that the texture naming method is different than the file names you're providing. For example, SVN 6285 expects names to be in this format: RB4E08_XXXXXXX_-YYYYYYY_ZZ.png
Ideally, the textures should be plug & play, but it appears that renaming is necessary. However, this would be a huge burden for ~2400 textures. What do you suggest I do?

@FatJacky I recommend these r6255 (I am using this) or r6287
From r6288 no longer works, unless you rename it.

Thanks for the links. Ok here's my deal: I tried SVN 6255 using the link you provided, used DX9 plugin, and dumped some textures. Filenames were still like I mentioned before, RB4E08_XXXXXXX_-YYYYYYY_ZZ.png. This means that if I use the DX9 plugin, all your hirez textures would need to be renamed to this naming format.
Next, I dumped some textures using the OpenGL plugin, and the names were in the same format as what you're supplying, but are all TGA files. So again, I cannot just put your textures into the Load/blah/blah directory.
Breaking it down, even with SVN 6255, your textures are still not compatible with either OpenGL or DX9. I'm under the assumption that I'm doing something wrong here. I apologize, but can you give me a step by step of how you're getting the textures you've posted to mediafire to load correctly in either DX9 or OpenGL?
Hyperspeed, I got it working in both 6255 and 6285 now. I'm using the default plugins that come with each build. I don't know what it was that I was doing wrong, but using your EXACT settings, I'm able to get the textures to load. Whoohoo!!!
One thing I've noticed though, is that if I re-size the window, or save state, the hirez textures get unloaded. This same deal happens to me when I'm running the hirez textures on Wind Waker. Not a problem at all, but was wondering if there's a solution in place?
Here's a pic comparing Hirez to normal. You can see the detail in Leon's jacket and hair on the left pic. Again, thank you for the help.
(quick edit) one more thing: I am only able to get this to work on 64 bit builds, not x86.

I'm glad you succeeded.

Yes it has no way to fix it.
And if you enable Safe Texture, the hirez textures get unloaded too.

I only use x64 bit version of dolphin.

But if your system runs x64 use x64, because it faster than the 32bit version.

Guys, just finished the chapter 5-3.

I'll post here in a few minutes (or just after hours if it fails.)
wow, alone the jacket makes a big difference (and since you always have to look at it.... ^^ )
