I like the texture work you guys are doing for RE4. I haven't had time to mess with it in a while because of school though. Only a few more weeks left then we finish senior design...
Thanks again for the work.

Lol,I like your work dude. I don't post here that much cuz i am so busy . But i check this thread frequently to see if there's an update. THANK YOU for the effort you have put on this. I am really happy to finally play RE4 on my PC with good graphics, since the PC version was a joke.

Awesome work, hyperspeed. I can't imagine how long this must have taken you.
I was just wanting to know if anyone had got the textures to load with a euro copy of the game. I've put the file in the textures folder, renamed it RB4P08 along with everything it contains, and changed all the setting to the ones recommended, but I just can't get them to work. I've tried revisions 6505, 7175 and 7187, but no luck. The only variable I can come up with is it's an EU copy.
Edit: Woo! Finally got them working. I had to enable Accurate Texture Cash and set it to 'Fast', otherwise it was changing the texture names to something that was incompatble with the hi-res ones.

This is absolutely awesome! I played RE4 through on the wii like a drug. I think it's one of the best games made. Now I need to figure out this stupid scons things to compile dolphin. That's how I came across this thread, I was looking for the equivalent of ./configure && make. Anyway I am so looking forward to these textures, thank you for your time and effort hyperspeed.

Hi all, if you want to easily rename all textures for use with the PAL version you can use my tool in the link. It can be used for renaming in the other way arround too (pal->ntsc):
http://www.mediafire.com/?v5vbbfg4171zad7
@hyperspeed - I noticed that there are some graphical glitches with some textures when they are in the distance (e.g. the door of the hause in the beginning has some yellow/green spots). Is there a way to fix that.
Oh and also - 10x very much for all your work.
P.S. OK I figured this out, HiRes Texture Load works perfectly with the new revisions too (e.g. 7414), only have to disable native mipmaps gfx option in order to avoid strange texture issue. Will report this bug soon.

And "Load hi-res textures".
If you whant use "Disable Dest. Apha Pass" use "Zelda bloom hack" to fix some GFX errors.(I use that)

Some screenshot of your problem will help.(DX11 have some error,but,DX9 is almost perfect)
I will test this tool and see what is capable.

For the screenshots see the issue that I've created:
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=4329
In my case messing around with "Disable Dest. Apha Pass" use "Zelda bloom hack" is not needed, only Native Mipmaps causes some issues.
As for the tool - it's very simple, just renames the files and moves them to a new directory. It also creates a statistics.txt file where you can see in detail which file was renamed and what is its new name. I'm pretty sure this can be done with some standard batch script but I'm only good in Java and this was easier for me

Oh, I forgot, you'll need java runtime installed on your PC in case it already isn't installed: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
Cheers!
