hey....that's cheating....You are like Two Rey Mysterio vs One John Cena....
That's really cheating...You just put two GTX 480 in SLI, and see...
Quote:That was a special order placed with GDDR5 memory. market version has GDDR3 memory...My GPU was bought after that...
No such thing exists. The 8800 ultra used ddr3 memory controllers and ONLY ddr3 memory controllers. You must have had a different card.
Quote:Forget 1 GB 5570, I am getting 512 MB GDDR5 5670
Good choice. Spending extra money for 1 GB of vdram is stupid and pointless. At a resolution that low your framebuffer will be so small you will never get any benefit out of it. If it were me I would spend the extra money for a 512MB 5770.
Quote:ok sir
lets compare the new GTX 480 with hd 5970

DO NOT START THIS HERE! I warn you, Daco is going to kill both of you if you continue this and the flaming starts (which we all know it will).

First, there is no point in talking about my brother's (He is actually my father's brother's son's wife's brother.....O_O) GPU as he himself said that it is a history... and you are right by the way, I post it wrong...that was 2 years old with GDDR3 memory....sry I was having a confusion as it was a special order placed on nVIDIA itself...
Second, 5770 is somewhat more expensive, It is Rs. 10k and I have set my budget to Rs. 6k. I think if I get 1 GB 5670, that would cost me Rs. 7k. See, I am very tight on budget and I will have to risk ONLINE SHOPPING.. But 512 MB GDDR5 would be more than enough to handle 720p if I get that new LCD or 1280 x 1024, or I can get decent framerates at good or very good settings in Crysis and warhead...If I can run these, I can run any game in this universe....HEHE..
I think 5670 is my last resort if both manufacturers are not releasing their new lineup, which will probably lower this pricepoint....and RAM amount is the last preference in the GPU selection i guess...
