3ghz w/patch - 25fps
3.6ghz w/patch - 25fps
Just incase that helps any. I dont think CPU speed is the bottle neck.
Mario Galaxy:
3ghz - 45-50fps
3.6ghz - 59-65fps
Did you enable the hack from the plugin configuration? If you are already getting 25 FPS in Hyrule Field, it is unlikely this patch will help much, if at all. Another thing, the patch doesn't work in single core mode, be sure you have dual core mode enabled.
Yea thats with the patch, can only get 18fps max without it. But jumping from 3ghz to 3.6ghz made no difference with Zelda, the only game that didnt get a speed increase.
I can't quote you, but 25 FPS with the patch is normal for right now, that's all I get with my Core2Duo E8500 @ 3.16 Ghz, that's why I asked if it were possible to squeeze another 5 FPS - 10 FPS out of the game with the patch without messing up graphics in any game.

For you. I guarantee if you had a high end video card running at a low resolution with no AA your cpu would be the bottleneck. Twilight Princess needs a lot more shader throughput/video memory bandwidth than most games because of it's extensive use of the efb. My GTX260 is insufficient for 1600 x 1200 with 4xSSAA but if I turn off AA the cpu is the bottleneck.
Tested the new build and its on basically on par with the old patch now but I lost about 1-2%speed.
Just a noob question...
How to integrate this PATCH in dolphin. It is a file used in compiling an SVN...????

Right-Click your checkout folder and go to TortoiseSVN -> Apply patch
Select the patch file
Right-click the files in the little window that pops up with file names and select Patch All.
Then you can compile the revision with Visual Studio
I noticed a few things (forgive me if they are already noted)
1. When I am in Hyrule field and it lags, when I go to Map, speed goes 100% and music goes smoothly.
2. I teleported from Faron Woods when it just turned dawn to Hyrule Field and it seemed to go faster.
3. Central Hyrule Castle Town lags less in morning (population)
Oh and also a quick note, maybe Midna has something to do with it; around desolate areas close to human civilisation she says don't transform
maybe it has something to do with caching
I recently applied for membership into the dolphin developer's discussion group, to see if i can get permission to commit this patch. Here is my latest patch, which is merged with r6042. No changes were made to the hack code.
I hope you get in. They can use someone like you.
