I'm running a laptop with the current specs;
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel I7 720QM processor.
ATI HD5870 1gb DDR5
4 GB DDR3 ram
7200rpm harddrive.

I have tried loading up Red Steal 2 and The New Super Mario Bros using default settings (OpenGL plugin) but have not gone over 20fps and with some minor graphical errors.

In another thread I was told to disable hyper threading but I can't find that option in my bios. Under "Advanced" setttings the only option I have is "Turbo Mode" and no Disable Hyper Threading.

Can somebody tell me what I might be doing wrong?
Why are you using OpenGL? The Direct3D plugins will do much better.
Just follow this guide and your games should play great, your system is more than adequate, it excels.

Oh right, and just in case, you should also update your graphics drivers, and your DirectX runtime.

Thanks alot RupeeClock I followed both your instructions and NSMB is running great!

However I have not yet found how to use my wiimote with Red Steel 2. I lit two candles put them in front of my laptop. Dolphin doesn't reconize my wiimote movements but I can press the phsycial buttons on the wiimote and it will read...
To play Red Steel 2 you need Wii Motion Plus Accesories..or will not work
Doh! Tongue

Ok I went out and bought a motion plus add-on and it works just fine. Other games are also working as well I guess I was standing too close to the candles haha. Big Grin

Quick shout out to everyone who helped and to the devs of course!
