Hey,

I am a bit confused, I have some games and it says something like nearly 55 fps --> 90% and its horrible slow in gameplay. Then I have some games running 40 fps --> 70 % and the seem to run good, also sound is snycing and not too slow. Is that just a subjective feeling, or has it something to do with PAL and NTSC? Frameskip or something? Can Someon tell me why there are two differnt values in the dolphin status bar, showing sometimes same values, sometimes not.

Sry for so stupid questions, but I dont knowBlush
Sorry to semi-hijack your thread, but this saves another post on the same issue.

Games I play on doplhin run at 120% speed normally, then randomly drop to 80~%

Is there a realistic way of evening that out?

Once again, sorry for the hijack.
It's best to include your computer specs, dolphin revision, and maybe os.
Incase you meant me:
Windows XP 32bit SP3

Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Video: ATI Radeon HD 5750

Tried different revisions, most stable was the one on the "Download" page of the main dolphin site, it gave me the highest Speed% (120) But lowered my fps quite abit (to 20-30 from 40+) Eventhough lower FPS is less annoying than low speed.
Your cpu might not be fast enough for constant full speed. Are you using the dx9 plugin? What game? Also, keep in mind that Dolphin is still not running full speed in some games. Even my computer can't run all the games full speed.
Yeah I'm using the dx9 plugin, Most of my testing was on an underground section of ToSBig GrinoTNW, for the simple reason that the dungeon itself is at 80%, but the battles in the dungeon (Exact same map) Is 120%.

I'm planning on upgrading my whole system in a month anyway
i5/i7
4gigs ram
Same card (It's underclocked right now due to lack of cooling)

Though my question remains;
The game runs too fast most of the time, only too slow in certain parts.
Never at 100%
Always at 120%, or lower than 90%, which makes it.. odd.

Is there any way to lock speed% to 100% max?
I was wondering the same thing as the OP. NTSC Brawl, for example, seems to run at full speed at anything above 50 FPS, while F-Zero GX is perceptibly slow at the same framerate. Maybe it's just that you notice it more in some games than you do in others?
Okay.. For some reason my game speed isn't 120% anymore..
it's 500% Or more.
I really don't have that problem per se because I always get decent speed. I would guess that on the parts that slow down the emulator is doing something intensive and is bottlenecked some where with hardware limitations.
I found my problem.. sort of.

But it makes no sense at all.

If I turn FPS limit off, I get 500-1000% ingame.. on an old system..

If I turn it onto 50 (PAL standard) It's 100% capped
If I turn it to 60 (Which Dolphin did standard) It's 120% capped.
