Features:
* Upgrade you arsenal of katanas swords, guns and abilities as you rack up victories against the Jackal clan.
* Embody a lone fighter, a man of few words with a shaded past full of mystery. Face various, and increasingly stronger, enemies and defeat challenging bosses in epic and intense fights.
* Visit various locations through a remote mixed metropolis in the middle of the American desert, where Eastern culture and Western culture have been smashed together into a hodgepodge jumble.
* The Wii MotionPlus provides 1:1 recognition where the sword and gun movements are precisely replicated within the game. Slash the villains the way you want. The harder you swing the Wii Remote, the harder the sword swings in the game.
* Become master swordsman and gunslinger fighting up to six enemies simultaneously; using your sword or your gun at any time; mastering aster combos galore; and, even deflecting bullets with the blade.

http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-9549.html

updated direct x sdk june 2010

Config:
General - Enable OpenCL - Checked

Wii - Enable Progressive Scan - Unchecked

Plugins:
Direct3d9 - Use Safe Texture - Unchecked
Direct3d9 - Enable CPU ->EFB access - Checked
Enchancements - EFB Scaled Copy - Unchecked (seems to cause blackscreen withhin 2min)

i think game runs best in this build, however, in another i had a better fighting experience..

+ i further disabled OpenCL and reenabled Safe Textures, works alot better overall now.. but some random blackscreencrashes appear

+ now enabled OpenCL and Direct3d 11 with usual config:
movement is great, almost clear no studdering turn, fights seem a lil slow on the other end with some minor studdering & wiimote not as accuate, some grafik improovements, also cutscenes show alot more... not sure if i like this config more then the last one.. got booted by blackscreen, flickering tried to recover itselft, useless attemt Wink

looking at my log i guess its fifo

Red Steel 2 running on the dolphin emulator SVN 5190 in 1080p HD on PC.
The game can be played at full speed's in HD even with fraps recording. This goes to show that with a strong enough PC wii games on dolphin can be emulated quite well.

The game runs great but when moving around the processing issues in the game result in the game lagging when turning your character around as you will see in the video.
Overall this game runs very well but please note you do need a real wii remote with wii motion plus attached to play this game on dolphin.

Running the PAL version.

Recorded using FRAPS 2.98

PC Specs:
-Intel Core i7 920 @ 4.05Ghz
-Corsair 6GB DDR3 1600Mhz C8D RAM
-XFX Radeon HD4890 1GB DDR5 (OC)
-Seagate SATA II 500GB HDD
-Corsair HX-650W
-Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

My settings for the emulator are;
Core:
Dual core and idle skipping on.
to have progressive scan on.
I also have the frame limit on at 60.
Graphics: Direct3d9
I have EFB to texture enabled and all other option defaulted.
The resolution is set to 1920x1080.
Audio: DSP-HLE:
I have the audio throttle disabled.

All other plugins are defaulted.

Red Steel 2 is only a sequel, but a great shooter, an action game competently and one of the best Wii games in general. As recommended for the cowboys who want a samurai turned violent.

Thanks for sharing your info. Gave up after 4-5 hours because the black screen crashes refused to let up.
Turning off dual core eliminates the black screen problem for me, nothing else would. I'm running r6092.
on the SVN R 6075M dolphin emulator in the Wii remote plugin configuration there is something called emulated extension and says wii motion plus and a check box does that mean the emulator emulates the wii motion plus or do i still need a real one to play?

I'll give that a try, thanks.
i need a working key configuration
what a shame...the speed is really good in this game...it's just totally f***ed up by the load stuttering which in this game is worse than in any other it seems.

wiiman24

Dont work, with wiimote plus (new bleu wiimote with integrated motion plus), say it need the MP :-(
SVN 6763
Did you try disconnecting the Wiimote and reconnecting it again? (From some of the Dolphin menus I mean, shortcut should be alt+f5)

When I'm trying to calibrate the MP I'm getting an error messae as well, but it works after a reconnect.
