I ditched the 7.1 sound system in favor of my new cans that go great with my X-Fi. In its place I put a new DirecTV HD receiver so I can watch TV while I wait for movies to render and what not. Oh and the whole thing is back to being next to the window. Big Grin

is that HD reciever connected to your pc? O_O
To my 1080p Acer monitor Big Grin. Stupid thing has a USB port and a network port, but damned if I know what they are for. Would be nice if I could just plug a HDD on it and save shows to drive.
I'm thinking of selling my laptop and buying new setup, preferably i7 and maybe something else. Maybe someone recommends me something? Blush
ive always liked amd and ati. when i build my next computer it will be an asus mother board, an ati phenom x2 3.0 ghz with 6 gb ram, and an ati radeon hd 5870 ;D

What is your budget? Most i7 boards are still priced in the mid $200's which is why most people will often opt for AMD setups. krypking's list is pretty nice and affordable. Not to mention fun if you are into gambling. You can take a 550 Phenom II Dual core and have a shot at converting it into a Quad if you have a nice board, like a Gigabyte.
Well, I'm going to probably use Nvidia, I always had better gaming experience with Nvidia, Nvidia FTW! And I have enough money for an i7 build, I know i7 CPU costs probably near 600 bucks (940 one) and I have such amount. So I think crisis is solved Tongue
eh, ill take cheap speed over anything else any day Tongue
