I guess work on this is pretty much dead then?
Any further updates regarding the new AFC code Jack Frost? It's been over a month since the code was pasted on pastie so I presume enough time has went by for additional progress to occur.
That would mean enough time to work on it, wouldnt it? Wink
Nothing from my side, and Torin seems to be MIA still. I did do some work on the LLE Jit tho, had that lying around for quite some time, and still doesnt work properly.

Things might stall a bit since shuffle (or nakee, don't remember) was working on a DSP merge, just like Billiard does/did with the GFX plugin. Seems like a priority for the 2.1 release is getting rid of plugins and making them backends, just like the Jit cores and GCPad
Is Torin even a developer? I thought he was just a member like myself trying to mess about with the code to see if he could fix anything. What's still left to do for the new AFC code, is there a lot or not much left to do? Perhaps I can try messing with it to see if I can get it working, unlikely but it's worth a shot I suppose.
The main problem is still unknown streams/buffers/values/whatever that come from DRAM - HLE doesnt have anything like that. Whats left is to find out where the values come from, store them in the HLE structures (possibly somewhere with the PBs) and use them in appropriate places. Just reversing what the part does was easy (and thats on pastie), adding those missing pieces is gonna be a lot harder (tracking DMAs, transforming the data as needed, using them in afore mentioned places).
Can someone apply this patch?Because I can't compile it!

Well,I really want to play Mario Galaxy with full music,because the soundtrack is so good...Koji Kondo is a GENIUS!

But...How can I play it without looping issues?
You can't right now.

The current AFC code is buggy, actually it's just a modified copypasta from the PCM16 code and not properly implemented. Because of this, music will stop looping after a few minutes with games that use the AFC decoder. Currently the developers are looking into this, Jack Frost was working on new AFC code but it seems he ran into a snag. It will probably be a while before this issue is fixed with the HLE plugin, I sort of have my bets set on that speed issues will be worked out with LLE JIT before looping in the HLE plugin is fixed, considering LLE JIT works near perfectly and music loops fine with the LLE plugin, just that speed issues need to be worked out.
But...The LLE Plugin is bugger than the HLE...

The sound fails,with little "pauses",like this:[sound]-[silence]-[sound]-[silence].How can I fix it?
