But what gc is best, ati 4850 or 5670. The prices are similar but one is 4xxx and the other is 5xxx.
By raw power the
4850 is faster but 5670 has hardware support for DX11, same level of memory bandwidth, and costs $10 less (sapphire sells them at $89 compared to 4850 at $99 lowest)
5670 is a budget card so in this case 'higher is not better'. It's still a considerably good card at that price.
I read a lot of forums to get a good pc for dolphin (and everythings).
My budget is short but i don´t want a expensive pc to use only 30%.
Intel Core i3 530 2.93GHz Box Socket
Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H Socket 1156
Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 2x2GB
Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB 3.5 SATA2 MAESTRO
Cool Master Sileo RC-500
Tacens Radix III Smart 520W Modular
Zotac GeForce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 Premium Pack
LG GH24NS50 Grabadora DVD SATA 24x Negra [/b]
I think is enougth for dolphin (but i don´t think for smg2) and silence pc.
What do you think guys?.
That's a pretty good selection of part, I believe most games will run fine in that setup.
4850 is better, wont make too much of a diff for dolphin but will help with other games
smg2 should actually run pretty well with that! smg1 will be the problem
What other games? just curious since they're pretty much perform the same in majority of benchmark.

Not completely sure what your asking, are you asking what other games will run well or what other games will be a problem?
Twilight Princess is an example of a very graphics heavy game but a 4850 is definitely enough to run any game at any resolution without any gpu bottleneck (as long as you keep AA at 2.25 or below).
I finally get Asus M4A89GTD motherboard with ati 4290.
I want to be sure that I could play smbw, mario kart, mario kart double dash and mario sunshine at least at less resolution, but high fps.
I also buy a phenom II x4 at 3.2GHz.
Thanks a lot.

Well I was questioning the claim above me, my bad for not using quote. Since he said beside dolphin I'm assuming PC games.
Guys, anyone with ati 4290 can tell me if is good enougth to ran Mario Kart, Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Wii (60fps and low resolution at least)?
Thanks.

Probably not.. It's an integrated chip with 128mb of memory, and in most benchmarks it yields about 2 to 10 fps in games.

NSMB 'might' run at acceptable speeds though, it's not exactly graphics-intensive. nor does it require a very strong card to run.
