¿Which is the best combination in both platfoms (Intel and AMD) in price/quality to run most of the games in dolphin (i don´t expect to run smg2 at full speed?

as long as you keep the resolution at 800x600 (in older, faster revisions even 1024x768) you won't be (in most games) gpu limited.

best performanc gpu is ati& best perf procesor is intel. not opinion.
highest game speed in modern games u could achieve only with ati 5970 and i7 980x. any else combination like intel/intel.. nvidia/amd.. ati/nvidia.. will give lower speed if best in category is looked at..
only "good price" is personal opinion and something expensive to me is cheap to someone else
for pure perf ati/intel is most fast.. price is just personal preferencce, speed isnt'..

I'm not even going to bother showing you benchmarks where nvidia cards ars shredding ati or where thuban is killing i7 because anyone who spent 15 seconds on google could find them. Instead I'm just going to drop this and I hope to god you do too.
I want to buy the 4850 graphic card ( 512MB GDDR3 and more silent) for dolphin, at least to play nsmb, mario kart db, mario kart wii at full speed.
My CPU is a Athlon II 630 x4.

But what gc is best, ati 4850 or 5670. The prices are similar but one is 4xxx and the other is 5xxx.
