This is the pc I thought to get. Will it get me fullspeed on dolphin?
Specs:
Intel core i7-920
Ati radeon hd 5550
6GB's of ddr3 1600MHz's
Question, what's wrong with your main rig?
i think u can get fullspeed but not on last 1
on my system i can get maybe 90% speed on mariogalaxy so ur system can surely run fullspeed

Oh I see, may I ask why? I can't understand why you'd replace a Phenom II rig with an i7 rig, yeah the i7 is a better CPU but you wouldn't get anywhere near a performance boost big enough to warrant a new motherboard, a new CPU and a new cooler if your current doesn't support LGA1366. Also did you make a typo in the original post? You said an ATI 5550, since you have a 5770 it seems pretty silly to use such a weak card for emulating when you have a very nice card in your current rig.

Lol your now taking your arguments out on other people an no you would not get a significant boost you prat thats to storm20200.
Ur main rig is ok (overlock for more performance). But i7 is a better CPU.

Ah right I see. If I was in a situation I'd wait untill the next gen of Intel or AMD CPU's, you won't get a performance boost going from your CPU to an i7 920 that could justify buying an entirely new system. But if that's what you wish to do then I'm not gonna say you are wrong to do so. Personally if you do I would take your 5770 and put it in the new machine then put the 5550 in your secondary.

if u are rich buy i7 machine coz its faster than any amd no dispute, if not get amd phenom IIx4. its not very expensive and its fast to dolphin.
u can get good phenom for maybe 100-150 dollar. look on newegg.com
i have phenom x3 and in games is always 80-85% speed or (little less to galaxy, zelda). a good card is ati +4000 and up, or geforc 9600+ and up.
