I bought an external hard disk case, and it somehow fu**ed up my data on my old HD... I am on my old PC now and it forced me to format everything into a single partition...
I lost 35 GB of ISO's... Now I have to dump them all again!!
On top of that I lost 6 GB of screenshots (from WoW that I played when I had my own guild with 500 members and friends...) and other important data I will never get back...
Is there a way to retrieve everything back, or something???
I heard there are programs to recover, if so, which?
This really hurts

sorry to hear that, but i dont think there is way to recover it............
Pandora is pretty good, it can read data rewritten or deleted even 2-3x over. But like sNk said you might just see files listed as "~file00001.iso" etc...
If you manage to recover anything just rename them, no big deal. I used it on an old 250gb hdd I had formatted ages ago and it still found about half of the old files that have been stored on it (although fragmented and not all were complete)
Just remember, anything written to the drive now would overwrite anything previously there. So try not to use the drive, but only to recover.

So far I found all my screenshots, but slowly my files are getting overwritten, like 5 working dumps, and some important documents but most of them show as &^$*... and pictures won't show complete... damn it, I really want to punch the person in the face who made this external drive fck up my hd
I had almost all dumps saved on desktop... yea now its overwritten...lol

Still, it's a very bad idea to use the same drive to recover your files, its like trying to do a brain surgery on oneself.
