Well I'm gonna take a running jump because the benchmarks are there for everyone to look at. My personal opinion if I was going to choose between the 2 is the i7 920, if you look at that pic of the Anandtech benches it shows that the 1055T beats the i7 920 in one test, the X264 first pass. The 1055T has 2 extra cores and it still only beats it in 1 test. This shows that the i7 is a much more efficient design if it can beat an AMD cpu that has an extra 2 cores therefore each individual core has to be more powerful than the AMD so in applications that use less than the total available cores then I fail to see the point in buying a less powerful CPU. If everything in the planet used unlimited cores then I'd get the AMD since it would be cheaper than the Intel, unfortunately that is not the reality we live in. So no more posts from me in this topic, fanboys will be fanboys and I won't bother fighting them any longer.

Well "not fan boys" there is no benchmark in the world which can confirm and OR explain results when 300$ cpu and 200$ cpu is putted in personal use.
and i will again take my weapon on sight ,intel simply sucks at field of hardware support.
They do not care,what happens to you when u wanna upgrade your hardware.
And facts remain read my post with experience with 1300E intel comp and 400E AMD comp after 2 years.no matter what u say it stays as unbeatable.
due to spent money on intel he could not afford any single dime to make comp stronger,read (more memory ,better gpu,better psu).1300E ladies and gents.is this world u live in??where one intel says for best comp u have to give us that money?

amd 180$ board 80$ = 260$ 3.2ghz
result in dolphin fps apsolutly same if not even faster simply couse dolphin uses as every single game in world cpu speed as factor one then everything else.
For me its AMD for topic starter it's up to him to choose and his willingness to give more money or not.

I think this thread is stuck in some kind of time paradox where AMD is still king of benchmarks and real world performance, and Intel sucks with their netburst architecture, either that or most AMD fans are complete retards as was already proven in this thread. No amount of arguing, facts, benchmarks, and evidence will convince some of these fools, so why not just let them live in their own delusional little world and ignore them?
Even my Core2Duo E8500 outperforms AMD in nearly every way for most single core and dual core benchmarks. AMD hasn't been king of benchmarks and real world performance for two generations now and it'll likely be a third once the Sandy Bridge architecture finally retails. AMD/ATI wasn't bad back in the day, but now they are slagging behind both Intel and Nvidia and can't seem to recover. AMD/ATI hardware may be affordable, I'll give them that, but that lower cost usually comes with a sacrifice to performance and quality that can be had with Intel for the past two generations now. The only exception for ATI is with the current Radeon 5xxx cards, but I tend to avoid ATI due to poor driver quality, poor OpenGL support and compatibility issues with some emulators.
