Hello; I'm new here. You may have seen me on other websites, but if you haven't, then that's ok Wink
I've been browsing the forums for a while after downloading the newest revision of the emulator (2.0) and I need some help in speeding up my game.
I've been searching for solutions but nothing's helped. I'd absolutely love it if everyone helped me solve all of my problems! Big Grin

The first problem has to do with the OpenGL plug-in that's given with the emulator. It gives me this error in the output log whenever I try to use it;
Code:
10:22:996 .\Src\FileUtil.cpp:92 W[COMMON]: IsDirectory: stat failed on ./User/Wii/title/00000001/00000002/content/: The system cannot find the path specified.

I think that that's the first thing that should be fixed right now; it might effect the outcome of everything else.
Thanks in advance,
MissingNo.
For the (fuck knows) time... Post your pc specs :p, otherwise we can't help you much...
You haven't searched very hard. This problem is asked and answered every day.
You could have searched for "Can't create opengl renderer".
But at least you have posted a proper error log.

You probably won't be able to use the OpenGL plugin with your GPU, use the Direct3D9 plugin instead.
Read the "Getting Started With Dolphin" thread if it doesn't show up.

Oh yeah... Confused The funny thing is that I don't know how to do that Big Grin I'll post them if someone shows me how to and tells me what I need to post.

Undecided Sorry if I keep repeating it.
And the Direct3D9 plugin is the one that says 'Dolphin Software Renderer' in the Graphics plugin selector of the config, correct?

No, it is the one that says "Direct3D9". :/

Undecided Then I have a real problem then, don't I?
Where would I get this plug-in?
update your directx here: Update DirectX using http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en Even if you think you have the latest version already.

1. That link doesn't work.
2. I just now updated my DirectX using the link in Billard26's sig.
3. I need the plug-in, not the actual DirectX thing.
Nevermind, I was stupid; it now shows a Dirext3D9 plugin. I'll test it and post back in few minutes...
It appears to run at full speed when subject to 2D material, but when certain special effects or 3D is used, it runs from 1/2 speed to 3/4 speed. I'll try to mess with some settings...
Is there any settings I can enable/disable to improve the speed?
And also, what's the best sound plugin?

Use "EFB copy to Texture" in the gfx plugin settings for a speedup.
DSP-LLE requires dumps from a real GC and is more CPU intensive.
You probably want to use DSP-HLE.

Thank you. Using Enable EFB copy To Texture feature made it speed up quite a bit.
I'd say that all 3D games and games with intense special effects are now running from 3/4 to 7/8 speed.
I was already using that plug-in, it turns out.

What's the best settings for the sound?
And how else can I speed my games up?
