And I already quote it on the top post.
May be you need GPU Caps Viewr to see your Display card support OpenCL or not.
I think NVIDIA card need at least 8 series or newer.

I have a GTS 240,

FloW3184's dolphin release gives me a black screen, previous version were "playable" (even if it was very very glitched)
(06-22-2010, 05:38 AM)blackJade Wrote: [ -> ]There is a way to confirm it. You can go into User/Logs/ and open dolphin.log by any text editor.
And you should find that there are something like this:
42:45:396 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:112 N[COMMON]: Initialized OpenCL!
42:46:328 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:153 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileProgram took 0.898 seconds
42:46:551 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds
42:46:777 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.226 seconds
42:47:000 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds
42:47:224 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.224 seconds
42:47:447 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds
42:47:670 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds
42:47:892 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds
42:48:115 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds

Which mean your game are running with OpenCL.
Also, you should get speed up if OpenCL support.
Also, I heard some game still have some minor problems with OpenCL.
You can compare the difference with a plain build.

Strange. GPU caps says that my GPU has OpenCL enabled, I can even run the demos.

But none of these lines are on dolphin.log.

Thanks for this builds man! They rock! Big Grin

I have a a little problem here.

I can't enable OpenCL on the last build.
The option is grayed out.

My card does fully support OpenCL.

Any help will be appreciated.
I know that maybe your builds aren't the problem.
But, maybe someone can help
Thank you!

Same thing here, although GPU-Z says that I don't have OpenCL enabled.

But GPUcaps disagrees. Huh
What version you are testing??
The Log file will show that line only after you boot a game.
Try FloW3184's build or my ATI Stream r5766 version.
GPU-Z is wrong with some display card, so just ignore it.
GPU Caps is more correct than GPU-Z, also it provide a demo to run.
I will not update r5769.
Because it only add a checkbox, and OpenCL has no function change.
I'm using mamario's build.

There's some difference in OpenCL from yours and from him? Please explain Huh

Nvm, I've just read your answer about the build having to be compiled with OpenCL SDK. Sorry for the "stupid question".
There is no need to compile a version with the NVidia CUDA SDK and one with the ATI Stream SDK. Both are just an entrypoint to the OpenCL driver and are really minimal. Only the driver installed on the computer where it runs matters. You can use a version compiled with the ATI Stream SDK with a NVidia driver without any problem for example.

If you get any problem with the latest OpenCL version, please tell us what plugin you are using (DX9, OGL or DX11), your graphic card and driver version.
If it doesn't work, try to update your graphic card drivers first and then retest as OpenCL support was buggy in older drivers and it's becoming better and better.
Using driver Catalyst 10.5. I have ATi Stream SDK 2.1 installed, too.

But no OpenCL for me in the config window, apparently, regardless of the plugin.
El Buga: when you see 2 console windows opening and closing again then you are using OpenCL Wink
in this version here you can chose if you want to use opencl or not (main config) Dolphin r5772 x64 OpenCL

I tried it too, with TP, it's actually 3-4 fps slower with opencl enabled :\ I was hoping for 30 fps in faron woods, oh well.
