I mean in terms of efficiency. 3 times longer for a 5% better compression isn't worth it imo. And in decompression, 7-zip is even slower.

Really? For me 7-zip extracted the build in less than 4 seconds.
Oh well, to each his own. I need smaller size because online where download speeds can be absolutely horrible for some, size matters. A few more seconds on my end can save minutes on the downloaders' end
I'll upload both of my builds in 7-zip and freearc format, and you see which one extracts faster k?

Btw, have you tested your build on a computer without the compilers installed?
yep. Building was done on vm, and running was done on horseevil's computer, and mine, without vs2010.

Dang, that's what I'm using. I just got done wiping the hard drive and reinstalling fresh (I had made a lot of adjustments and this is the cleanest way of getting back to default settings).
What program do you use to emulate OS? The only one I've worked with is Virtual PC.
