I have both latest DirectX and VC++ Distributables installed. It's still not running on my computer.>.<

...And side note, I would highly recommend you use 7-Zip to zip files. It's open source and free and the best I've come across Smile
are you using optimizations that are not compatible with ur processor?

I'm using the default optimization settings. I'm not even adding anything yet, just trying to compile with ICC XE like I would VS2010.

If you look at the tutorial, I'm doing everything the way I show it on there. I'm not using any of the "Optional" steps.
try compiling and running as an admin
It runs as Administrator by default. Thanks for the suggestion though Smile
hmm...............there has to be some explanation...............can u post the log from the crash?
Here's the error I get when I try to run the compiled program:

And here's the build log from one I did a couple days ago

I'm so sorry. I didn't realize your laptop couldn't handle sse4.2 lol. That's why my builds won't run on yours. Also, freearc > 7-zip. 7-zip took 15 seconds and compressed about 512k better than freearc, which took less than 5.

So... wait... 7-zip is worse because it gets it smaller?

And do you think you could compile another version without additional SSE options?
