I'm compiling for multiple people though so I need to have a version of each, the way Lectrode does it.
AMD only supports SSE3. /arch:SSE3 /Qax:SSE4.2 should work so that it will be SSE4.2 on compatible processors and SSE3 on others/AMD. That's what the ICC documentation says at least!

Or /arch:SSE3 one build /Qx:SSE4.2 another (they'll probably be faster builds). /Qax:SSE3 will not actually be SSE3 on AMD processors because of how ICC is configured to check for SSE3 support, it only does it if it's an Intel processor, there's a lawsuit over this.

What are you compiling for who?
Man the DSP LLE plugin takes FOREVER!
.. prepare to spend a lot of time watching "Linking.."
lol the entire process takes 18 minutes for me and uses about 2+ GB of my RAM >.<

I'm compiling for a lot of people, a website.

So one build would be: Arch: SSE3
Another: Qax: SSE4.2
What about SSSE3 and SSE4.1, 3, 2
18 minutes using ICC? Seriously? ICC 12 must be a heck of a lot slower, you are using 11? VC2008 takes minutes, even fully optimized...

For SSSE3, SSE4.1 use /Qx: (they don't work on AMD either, so optimize for Intel.)

VC2008 can build SSE2, and it does by default - /arch:SSE2. The standard builds are SSE2, no real need for you to make them, they are churned out fast in a thread above.
I'm using 11 I thought, there's 12?

edit: So I'm going to just do a SSE3 build and a SSE3 + 4.2 build, that'll work right?
Ugh more errors. I think I just have trouble downloading them and it screws things up I don't know. I got it to work with just 64bit.

edit: I'm gonna give up for now. I'll stick to pcsx2.
You got a website already?
I'm uploading to a website that isn't mine.
Ok... I've decided to give this one last try. Just going to be compiling SSE4.2 64bit.
So it's not possible to compile an x64 SSE2 with Visual studio alone? The Intel compiler MUST be used?
