zfreeze testing needed!
|
The zfreeze in the game works in D3D and OpenGL.
Game tested: Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5770 Driver Version: 14.12 (newest) Operating System: Windows 8 x64 Note:I wasn't sure about "skip EFB access from cpu so I unchecked it like its recommended, Fast depth unchecked, EFB copies is disabled and texture is chosen. I tested only the first level death star attack, tested IR in both opengl and d3d at x1 and 2x. everything else is at default I think. Thanks goes to neobrain, NanoByte, phire and Fiora(for mmu optimizations). Great work! 01-04-2015, 08:12 AM

Game tested: Need For Speed Hot Pursuit II
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5770 Hawk Driver Version: Omega 14.12 (Newest) Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Note: Shadows are perfect, I tried with 2 cars on 2 different stages, the shadows of oponents cars are perfect too. The Game runs slow for me (50-60 %), maybe my CPU is not enought? (AMD Phenom II 965 BE @ 4 Ghz). 01-04-2015, 09:39 AM
My guess is it's GPU thread bottlenecked since that game is incredibly vertex heavy and your CPU doesn't have SSSE3.
As expected Mario Power Tennis have some issues but this zfreeze implementation still is fantastic.
Game tested: Mario Power Tennis Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5770 Driver Version: 14.12 (newest) Operating System: Windows 8 x64 Notes: - Everything is tested with 1x IR and Unchecked Fast Depth. - I didn't test in 2x IR, only DK Jungle Court, read the notes below.(some random 2x IR testing shows much more flickering specially in D3D) - The bold text is differences between D3D and OpenGL. - I played only as Mario against Luigi in all matches. - I tested quickly all characters shadows in the character select screen and they do work in D3D and OpenGL if that helps. - I Played in Exhibition mode only. Courts notes in D3D: Peach Dome Court - Everything works expect flickering shadows of the Captain Toads who is watching the match. Wario Factory - Everything works. (are these bomb guys behind player supposed to have shadows? (Sorry I dont remember since my GC is broken since I ripped my game)) Delphino Plaza - logos on floor and the nozzleheads on the right side flickers, shadows of everything else Works. DK Jungle Court - The shadows is blikning flying guy on the cloud, forgot his name, and crocodiles behind players but works good under the animals that appear in the middle of court. Everthing else works good including the barrel on the side of the court. Grooper Blooper Court - Platforms on the floors flicker/glitch when changing. Everything else works. Peach Dome Clay Court - Everything works expect flickering shadows of the Captain Toads who is watching the match. Peach Dome Grass Court - Everything works expect flickering shadows of the Captain Toads who is watching the match. Luigi's Masion Court - Flickering floor lines and shadows Courts Notes in OpenGL: Peach Dome Court - Everything Works.(Unlike D3D) DK Jungle Court - Shadows of the guy on the cloud is glitchy(not flickering). The same applies for the crocodiles behind player kinda but its harder to see. The interesting part that this is fixed buy choosing 2x IR. In D3D 2x IR this level have no good shadows just some spots and floor logos flickering randomly when playing and its flickers only when moving player in the start when he holds the ball in hands. Grooper Blooper Court - Everything seems okay. Big difference from D3D is that the floor is not super glitchy but seems sometime white transperent layer on the floor and/or the white lines around the floor tiles disapear for a sec and then comes back but not in a annoying way. Wario Factory Court - Everything works. Are these bomb guys behind player supposed to have shadows? (Sorry I don't remember since my GC is broken since I ripped my game) Delfino Plaza Court - Floor flickering, no players shadows, no ball shadows(unlike d3d), only flickering nossleheads shadows beside the court. Luigi's Mansion Court - Everything works.(Unlike D3D) (ghosts supposed to be transparent black/have no shadows?) Peach Dome Grass Court - Everything works.(Unlike D3D). Peach dome Clay Court - Everything works. (Unlike D3D) Thats is, Now Iam tired of this game Now I felt the hard work you're putting in to Dolphin JMC47. Thank you! 01-04-2015, 01:00 PM
I got this error in Rogue Squadron 3 while using the targeting computer:
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870. Driver Version: 14.12. Operating System: Windows 7. Using OpenGL, EFB to RAM (safe texture cache) and Virtual XFB. I was able to use the targeting computer several times before the error occurred. 01-04-2015, 01:07 PM
Unrelated to zfreeze. It's a GPU desync. Use single core if you have to for testing.

Okay, so I just found out that RS2 changes the Tatooine trainer time of the day based on your system clock! So, it's normal that I wasn't seeing a blue sky. There are still some artifacts that appear around dusk. I made an album here: http://imgur.com/a/ApbGr Probably not zfreeze related. I also added a screenshot from Mario tennis menus. That possibly only leaves the Mario golf D3D bug.
