Hello, not long ago I wanted to import a custom template on my Zelda Wind Waker game. I followed the instructions on gamebanana.com. I extracted the files. And before replacing the files I wanted to do a test. I went into file selection (Paths). I have selected my extracted file. And, when I went back to Dolphin's main window, I just had a "boot.dol" that had appeared. I tried to launch it but I just got a white emulation window as a result.
So I wondered if anyone could help me with this problem.
Thank you.

I'm not sure what exact instructions you used (it seems like a pretty big site), but assuming you're using Dolphin 5.0 stable, did you set the Apploader and DVD Root settings in the Paths tab?

Yes, it was even one of the first things I did. But no matter what I do, I still have a "boot.dol" at 3.67 MB. There is no banner or game name. Just a gray cross and "boot.dol" as a name.
By the way: here's the full instructions from the website :

Extracting your ISO:
This mod is easier to install with an extracted Wind Waker ISO. It makes editing individual files easier, and you won't have to worry about injecting files directly into the ISO.

Open Dolphin, right click your Wind Waker ISO, and click on Properties. Go to the Filesystem tab.
Right click on Disc, and click Extract Entire Disc, and choose a new folder in an easily accessible location. (I.E. "C:\Users\John Doe\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\ISOs\LOZWW".)
Click on Configure, and go to the Paths tab. Make sure your LOZWW folder is added to the ISO directories.
Add the path for dolphin to find the boot.dol you just extracted.
The game should appear in the game list, but with 0 bytes of data. This is normal. You can now open it like any other game.

Installing the Model:

In your extracted models folder, open the folder of the model you would like to use.
Create a backup of Link.arc located in "files\res\Object" of the extracted game files.
Replace the vanilla Link.arc with the modded one.

Yeah, it's normal that it looks like that, since you're using an older version of Dolphin. I just wonder why it wouldn't be working when you launch it if you've set up the settings correctly...

Would you like to try the updated support for extracted games instead? Update to the latest development version of Dolphin, then re-extract the game using that version of Dolphin, and it should show up in the game list just like a normal ISO file. You won't need to set the Apploader and DVD Root settings either.

It's a little better. Now I just have a black screen. The only thing I don't understand is that modification worked for the version on my Windows 7 but not on this Linux.

This time, I did it all over again from the beginning. But when I select the path, nothing is displayed in the games list even if I have done everything correctly. So I asked myself if it wasn't because I was on Linux.

Hello, I just realized what my mistake was. When extracting, I only selected "Extract Files" instead of the entire disk.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
