Hi all!

I resently got Zelda Twilight Princess PAL for the gamecube. I got a decent PC, all drivers up to date.

[*]EVGA nforce 750i FTW,
[*]E8400 @ 3.5 GHz,
[*]Noctua NH-C12P cpu cooler,
[*]Nine 120mm CM Neon fans,
[*]Two Noctua 120mm NF-P12-1300 fans,
[*]8 GB Corsair CM2X DDR2 ram,
[*]OCZ XTC Memory Cooler,
[*]1X EVGA GTX 280 superclocked edition 1GB GDDR3,

I run alot of game in 1080p resolution with 2XAA and 8XAF at full speeds practically no slowdowns (Smash Bro, Zelda WW, Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario etc)... But in Zelda TP I get slowdowns in some scenes 20 fps I get instead of 30. My point is, how can I get this game to run faster? Is there an option I can tick to get more fps? What FPS are you guys getting? I use Dolphin x64 SVN 4246

Yup, you need like 6 Ghz Dual Core to run the game at full speed, areas like Hyrule Field or Ordon Village take a lot of energy from your PC

It'll happen, it'll just take time.

Let's fix compatibility before we work on speed-ups. Smile

Ok thanks for your replies! I'm actually liking the game way more on this emulator than on my Gamecube.... I get slowdowns but they are not that bad and I can understand perfectly why the game is slow... but 60% of the time I get max fps wich is 30 so I doubt you'll need 6 GHz to run this perfectly... I'm only at 3.5 on my E8400... its just the emulator that needs to be optimised its going to be a timely process....

I've just joind to share this. Thought it might help.
I got the similar type of slowdown your getting but it's now flat out on my machine, all the way. Excellent gfx as well. Only complaint is that the audio sometimes glitches and cuts out. During hyrule field and goat herding.

First of I'm using Orleans build 4269 x64. I'm using the dx9 plugin.
My rig is..
Windows 7 x64
A phenom II x4 b50 @ 3.5ghz
4 gig unganged dual channel ddr2 800 running 4-4-4-15
9800gtx+ oc'd
Think thats all that should be relevant to playing this....

What fixed it for me was to right click the game in my list in dolphin and click on properties then set as follows...

Now I've been playing it like that for hours now. I've been out round hyrule field etc and am back in twilight again.
It's been flat out all the way. Looks amazing as well running at a 1440x900 resolution with aa and af. Smile

I don't know if those settings or that build will play the game completely through without fatal issue... but I'm going to find out. Big Grin
