Hi!

As the topic says, I can play Z:TP very smoothly with almost 100% game speed and about 40-50 fps, but SMG is like it's set to half speed (50-60% game speed).

My specs are:

OS: Windows 7 Pro x64
CPU: Yorkfield Q9550@2.83 ghz
RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX@1066 mhz
GFX: Palit Geforce GTX 260 SP 216

Does SMG need some special settings or is my pc just too slow? I could invest in a new graphics card, upgrade to 8GB RAM and/or OC my CPU with my Scythe Mugen2 cooler.

Many thanks in advance!

It's too slow for galaxy, I think. Processor speed is all that matters at that point. Doesn't take a great graphics card, you're well beyond kind of what is required, and nothing really uses more than 4gigs of ram as far as games go. OC'ing would help, but I'm not sure if you could get the game near to actual playable levels though(90%+ at all times), I haven't tried it.

It has been asked many time about SMG slowdown problems.

The answer is alway going to be "SMG is CPU power hungry game for Dolphin"

CPU with at least 4.8GHz can overkill SMG.

Thanks for the replies!

Well... I think I'm going to OC the CPU, play SMG again and if it's still too slow, I'm setting the CPU back to its original speed and switch to another game Wink

What games are "guaranteed" to run with normal speed on my PC? Wouldn't be very smart of me if I rip every game I own to find out Big Grin

Almost any games that have less fancy graphic effects and less number of vertex points Tongue
