Zelda: TP Alt Tab Causes Sound Disappearance

Hello,

I have just begun using Dolphin emulator for Zelda: Twilight Princess. I am new to Dolphin but not new to emulators overall. My problem is fairly simple. If I alt-enter to exit full screen mode, the sound either repeats, or much more commonly, it just disappears. The only thing left to hear is ambient noise such as birds chirping. All music and sound effects are gone.

I am using the newest version of Dolphin. I have an AMD FX 8150 Eight-Core processor. 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7, AMD Radeon HD 6800.

I tried doing multiple random things such as pausing the emulation to alleviate the issue, however the only way I have found to fix it is to restart the emulation. I also attempted to switch to DSP LLP recompiler using the reversed iROM that LM1234 made. It merely causes stuttering sound and slow down. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The DSP LLE recompiler should solve most audio issues, assuming you can maintain fullspeed, however. LLE audio is more demanding than HLE audio (hence the slowdown), and LLE audio will stutter if you can't get the game speed high enough (usually your % needs to be in the upper/high 90s). Overclocking your CPU might help. You can try the VBeam Trick so that LLE audio plays normally, and I'd recommend this first, since it's worked pretty consistently for me. You'll still get drops in FPS, but your audio should be smooth and flawless.

Another solution is to just not exit fullscreen mode Big Grin

Yeah, if you want to play in windowed mode just disable 'use fullscreen' under the graphics settings
