Zelda / Harddrive help

Well. I loaded up Twilight princess for the first time today (Hooray!) but....... Horror struck. It asks if it can format my harddrive, I instantly say no. Then I plug in a pendrive, how do I get it to target that pendrive instead of my harddrive?
