I really want to play this game online. I think other people too.

I manage to play locally with 4 gba emulators at once conectin them to dolphin.

But. When i try to do it online, with netplay. Dolphin ignore the GBA controls and use my controller or my gamecube controller who i set after. and the other people have the same problem, and gba no longer conect to dolphin.

Anyone manage to do this? Or know any help?

Sorry for my bad english

I don't think you can use GBA at all online due to latency.

The GBA controller cannot be used on netplay.

Not unless you can invent zero latency.

There is a theoretical way to solve the problem without requiring zero latency: Emulating each GBA on each machine and just sending everyone's button presses over the network instead of sending the data that's sent over the GC-to-GBA cable. Programming it so that everything syncs up would be very tricky, though.

Isn't that how netplay currently works? I thought netplay just emulated everything on the client end and sent the button inputs. Am I wrong? If so how does netplay actually work?

Netplay does work like that right now, except it doesn't support syncing up with instances of GBA emulators, so connecting a GBA would make everything desync (both because of it not relaying button inputs and because of it being non-deterministic in other ways).
