Hey there guys, I've been trying to get Zelda: Four Swords Adventures to work over netplay, something that I've found is not that easy. I'm using Dolphin 3.0-802 currently, by the way.

So, first of all the game works perfectly in single player even when using a four player set-up with VBA-M Joybus Linking to four GBA controller ports in Dolphin, and it runs pretty well too. You can change controllers ports during single player fine.

So I was figuring that it would be relatively easy to use netplay so we could both use VBA-M to link into Dolphin. I've been testing this locally with two Dolphin programs open at the same time, both with controller config at GBA for the first two ports. The game starts up fine, the problem is when using VBA-M to link the game immediately desyncs for the joining client.

This time I set it so it has Standard Controller in port 1 and GBA in port 2 for both programs. I start it up and navigate to Two Player Game, but when I change the controller for one of them so I can connect VBA-M to player 1 it desyncs and doesn't respond. I think I heard that you couldn't change controller during netplay so this didn't really surprise me.

I also tried changing the Standard Controller to different ports, but this gave me a black screen when starting the game for both programs that didn't go away.

Has anyone had any luck trying to get this game to work over Netplay? Because I've figured I've done all I can try in order to get this to work using Dolphin's controller settings so I'm confused. Thanks.

My Specs, if they matter, are:

Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz quadcore
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570
8GB RAM
