No, is quite difficult and you need original US N64 rom, MS-DOS 16bit interpreter, eduardo_a2j files and GC-tool v1.2 for replace rom in Gamecube file.
Zelda: Collector's Edition HD Texture Pack V2.1 (2018-03-27)

Or you could create a XDelta patch for it? For other users? That should be legal, users still require their own original dump. I believe XDelta can be used to patch an unmodified dump to that of your patched Spanish version. You don't provide the source files, just the difference in bits. Dolphin did allow a XDelta patch to update an unmodified Super Smash Bros. Melee V1.00 disc to V1.02 to be referenced on the game wiki's page. I could even include it in the texture pack for ya if you want that (with credits for the translation team and you making the patch).
XDelta is probably the easier method for users to quickly patch a disc. Unless I am plainly wrong here, please correct me if so, and never mind the idea then.
Ok im pretty confused, new person here.
Still dont understand how to download the texture packs. I click the links on page 1 where it shows the sources, but i dont see where the download is? Im a noob sorry, can anyone help clarify? I did Skies of arcadia and xenoblade, because it was simple and just gave the a mirror to download complete packs, but i dont see anything like this on this one
Don't check the first page. It is outdated and links are no longer active because they got superseded. Only a few links by me are active such as the Upscaled Backgrounds. You are not the first one to be confused over download links being offline. I don't have control of the main post since I didn't start this thread, so look for updates in the latest post entries.
I quote my latest update post once again: (12-17-2018, 11:51 PM)Admentus Wrote: V2.6 is finally here! When masterotaku returns he will likely update the main post again. I don't know if there is any need to restart the thread. 12-30-2018, 10:40 AM

Nicely made CyberConan. I include it into the next patch.
I will add the Spanish disc mod textures which I mentioned a while ago into the main pack with the next update too. They don't replace any existing textures. Is that correct?
Awesome work! One question though, if I use the Resource Pack instead, what are the benefits right now? And if I use that one I can delete the PZL folder in Load/Textures right?
I'm not I'm even using it roght, I unzipped the PZL folder in Dolphin User Data\User\ResourcePacks\PZL But it's not showing up in Dolphin? Edit: I re-read the Resource Pack thread and I get it now, you copy the zip file into that folder, I can see it now! 01-02-2019, 08:06 AM

The downside is that you have a larger download since a Resource Pack can not be compressed. Through Dolphin you can install these Resource Packs and manage them rather than manually add and remove them from the textures load. In the future I might add optional Resource Packs as well (the optional Spanish textures or the up-scaled backgrounds perhaps), which you could install on top of the main Resource Pack. It might save you the hassle of sorting out the alternative / optional / mod textures. Other than that, the contents are identical. If you are unsure how to use Resource Packs, just continue the old-fashioned way. No worries, content-wise you should miss nothing. If download data is a limitation for you, I suggest sticking to the compressed .7z archives, and in particular the DDS BC7 pack. Just a notice in general to everyone. I won't create PNG Resource Packs. Those are already big enough as they are. My stance is that I don't recommend using the PNG pack at all, but rather the DDS BC7 pack. The PNG pack is purely uploaded in addition for archival purposes (and a bonus if you reaaaaally want that perfect image quality). Just from my perspective, I don't mind if anyone would want to use / edit / remove / add stuff around, but you should check with the other authors / contributors to make sure. 01-02-2019, 05:00 PM

I just checked and even after the install process is done the zip file is still present under "Resource Packs". Is that the way it's supposed to be? That effectively makes the pack double the size, since I have both the zipped file and the unpacked files in the texture folder. Data is no problem for me, and I don't find it a hassle to install texture packs, but resource packs are promising, i read in the pull request that you would be able to disable/enable a pack without moving/deleting any files, so you could easily manage several versions of a pack, you know anything about that? Anyway, about the upscaled backgrounds, where can I find them, and they only apply to static 2D-background in OOT right? Do you recommend them?

Contains the missing backgrounds not part of the main texture pack already. You can choose from x2, x4, x8 or x16 upscales. x16 obviously has the best results, through it demands more RAM to prefetch. The main post will correctly has a download link to at least one of my mirrors. |
