Nicely made, Amon1995!
Although... I am not quite sure where to use this. The current Master Sword icon is already quite good. The "replacement" has the exact same resolution, and the technical quality seems similar. I could always add this in the Optional content folder. Well... Maybe masterotaku has a preference. 09-24-2016, 06:57 PM

Add it to the optional folder if you want. The Xenoblade texture pack has many alternative textures for weapons, for example.

The only exception for me would only be if the official artwork is lacking or too low in quality. I already have an optional folder available, so I just leave the new textures in there. Yeah... I know the Kokiri Sword isn't ideally since it is not the official artwork, it is just because of the lack of higher quality. Snowhead is now finished too! Onwards to the Southern Swamp! I will just be doing for some final checks, to ensure I missed nothing in Snowhead before moving on. There isn't that much left to do anymore. It is just the Moon Sequence and the Southern Swamp. After that, I will need an empty save file for the missing parts. Goron Racetrack: Yeah, I got the whole of the Snowhead region. My previous updates already covered a lot of the pre-boss state in this region. Basically, the road to the Mountain Village, the road to the Goron Village, The Goron Shrine, The Goron Racetrack and the post-boss state for these area's were missing. Southern Swamp now! I suppose I will upload the next update after The Moon is finished, which should hopefully not take too long. I expect the Southern Swamp to take longer. 09-25-2016, 08:59 AM
The rendering is amazing...
"I have a question" the widescreen mode does not work on the PAL version we agree ?
Which widescreen code you need depends on the combination of your disc and region. You can either have the Virtual Console versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, then there is the Ocarina of Time - Master Quest GameCube disc which contains two separate versions of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Master Quest. And then there is the Collector's Edition GameCube disc which contain multiple games, which includes Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Now, each game version comes in at least three different regions: PAL (for Europe), NTSC-U (for America) and NTSC-J (for Japan).
There are two threads out here on the forums that might contain the proper widescreen code you need: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-ar...ora-s-mask and https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-un...ic-archive. If you would know which game version and region you have, that would make it easier for us to help you. There are a lot of combinations that you might have noticed. Also keep in mind, that the NTSC-U versions are the best supported versions. PAL and NTSC-J is often lacking, in which case there is nothing that can be done for now. NTSC-U has always been more popular due being 60 Hz (thus 20 FPS instead of 17 FPS) and due being the intended version for America.
Oh nice I'm going to try. But the PAL version is also in 60Hz on GameCube (20fps). You will want to do the French texture if I send you the files ?
Thank you Edit : "AR Codes coming soon" Nooooooooooooooooo I will make a request to another topic. (09-25-2016, 09:13 PM)Zxzx Wrote: Oh nice I'm going to try. You could still search through the pages for some useful codes through, since the main post on the Zelda 64 Cheat Codes thread does not contain every code posted throughout the thread. Again, most of the codes only work for NTSC-U. Regarding the French textures. If you are willing to create the textures in HD for French and provide them with the correct dumped filenames, I gladly upload them with my next update. But personally myself, I will not be creating, dumping and coverting textures for HD in any language other than English. This is because: a) I can not read or speak languages such as German, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanse. Zelda games are heavy on text, unlike Mario games. b) The N64 Zelda games contains a lot of text textures to dump. There is text for items, locations, bosses, menu's, uppercase, lowercase, punctuations and more. Unlike Super Mario 64 which mostly only uses the uppercase letters for the entire game. c) It requires me to replay the game again. Again, unlike Super Mario 64, where German and French could by fixed with a couple of small changes, immediately within 5 minutes when playing the game. d) I only use the NTSC-U disc, which only has the English language. While speaking on the topic of different languages. There was this thread: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-ze...e-hd-fonts that provided the Japanse fonts for the N64 Zelda games. Did we already include this? Well... I could include it in the next update. It contains 1359 new Japanse Font textures taking about 5 MB, with Latin and Digits excluded (which were already supported). Ohh, yeah... Here is a new screenshot of the Southern Swamp area. Tourist Information:
Thanks, I do not have my Japanese version to test textures unfortunately.
I noticed that there was the accent "é" in the pack but not the others (è, ê, ô, ù). I could dump some textures in the Kokiri forest pending. I just added two Widescreen AR Codes for Ocarina of Time. |
