Hey everyone!

Hope im not intruding on your forum but i've tried to find an answer to this question by googling but i think i just might be stupid enough not to be able to find the answer on my own, so as a last ditch effort i thought of asking here.

I've wanted to play Four Swords on dolphin for awhile now but bios dumps and such has been a roadblock, finaly got the kit needed to get the files dumped and after messing around with Dolphin abit i've run into an issue.

When i connect VBA-M to dolphin everything works as it should, except the only sounds Dolphin now makes are the intro slash screen of Link yelling & the pre-recorded FMV being played if you leave the system on for while, but everything inside of the game is dead silent (except the small sounds the GBA should make)

Whats causing this to happen?

Using newest nightlie build of Dolphin & VBA-M WX 2.0.0 beta2, i've tired every single combination of audio settings in Dolphin but to no avail.

You're using LLE audio, right? If not, try using that in your DSP settings. I don't know if Dolphin's DSP ROMs (the ones that come with your download from the nightly builds) handles the GBA ucode or if the GBA ucode is even important to 4 Swords, but you'd probably best use the original DSP ROMs dumped from the console to be safe.

So, the part about me being an absolute idiot! that statement turns out to be 110% factual.
I had allready dumped both the GBA & GC/Wii stuff and placed them in the correct places but i had been so smart as to override the LLE settings inside the game settings it self.

I am indeed not a very bright person, as all it took was your post and reading the god damn status text of the game starting to realise that complete idiotic mistake.

Dolphin's built-in DSP-LLE roms don't support GBA <-> GCN at all.

I have a follow up question i would like to ask, if thats ok.

I've been fiddeling around with the link now for a day or so after dumping my GC games onto my computer and run into another slight issue (if you could call it that)
Its with the Tingle Tuner in Zelda:WW, so far the link works just fine in all of the games i've had but playing this has posed me with a problem.

Is it possible to close down the link between Dolphin and VBA-M? so far i've had very mixed results.

1) Removing the GBA controller inside Dolphin, closes the link but the game itself dosnt update this, as it still thinks tingle is called but VBA-M gives me the correct error of a missing linkup. (issue here is i cannot call tingle back to the game before i save/load)
2) Closing the bios inside VBA-M freezes Dolphin until i re-establish the bios inside VBA-M with the same result as above, the game still thinks tingle is called and the link will not re-establish.
3) Reset'ing VBA-M produces the same issue, VBA-M dosnt re-link and Dolphin still believes Tingle is called.

Whelp?

Closing VBA-M completely should work. Also, changing the Link Type to "Nothing" should work as a disconnect.
