I was wondering if there is a way to hide/remove videos from showing and just leaving the audio playing instead, just curious about this and it would also kinda help my FPS when playing certain games (too lazy to download the songs plus i hate saving music on my PC)

To my knowledge there is no way to play youtube videos without playing youtube videos. You could minimize it, or download the audio.

Put the videos in 240p quality they shouldn't kill much fps that way

Unless you're using a cpu/gpu from 1999 I seriously doubt that.
