It's likely the wiimote is at fault.

3rd party wiimotes many times don't entirely mimic the nintendo wiimote behavior. Enough to work with a wii, but not entirely. Sometimes those deviations in behavior is enough to break it for Dolphin.

Yes, I came to that exact same conclusion too, but don't you think that's it's a bit like saying "we don't support third party games because the third party devs used very weird coding philosophy" ?

We support hardware Nintendo makes for the Wii. Not hardware Joe blow third party dude makes for the Wii.

If that hardware doesn't work with Dolphin, too bad. We're not aiming to support that.

But it's working with dolphin, I am playing right now, 2 hours non stop without one glitch, using 8321 or ishiiruka 485, but it works only when using bluesoleil, and I think at some point you guys made the decision not to bother with bluesoleil stack.

The fact that I am unable to play reliably with any other stack has to do with my BT dongle, but bluesoleil IS a reliable solution.

The only other bluetooth stack we support besides OS stack is Toshiba, although that's not really needed anymore. If bluesoleil works, it's a happy coincidence. If it breaks, we won't really care.

We've made changes to bluetooth that we test against Nintendo made wiimotes. Again. 3rd party wiimotes vary in behavior so much in regards to bluetooth that not many would care about making sure they all work. The nintendo wiimote is one nintendo makes for the wii, and is consistent. So we support that.

The fact that my belkin dongle(which has broadcom hardware) reacts in a weird way to the latest official win7 64 drivers found on the broadcom website makes me think it's a problem of drivers(I was able to play under winxp 32 without a problem with the same dongle(broadcom driver and windows stack) and the same wiimote), and the fact that I am able to play with bluesoleil drivers/stack for hours without a glitch makes me think the wiimote is not at fault. The fact that someone in the know told me that you guys decided not to bother with bluesoleil makes me believe that it's a problem between bluesoleil and dolphin, and this problem started in 8325 when the wiimote code was revamped.

But if you tell me you don't care, it's ok.

The dongle itself yes I am sure it's fine, but there is a problem of compatibility with win7 64, that I am sure too.

Regardless of why his Dongle + Wiimote doesn't work with the MS nor Toshiba Stack; Bluesoleil support was dropped, when my changes were merged.
It was said, that nobody uses the Bluesoleil drivers anymore, so it doesn't need to be taken into account. Therefore the current implementation does not support the Bluesoleil driver, as it needs the same handling as the Toshiba Stack (Write Buffer Size = Max Report Size; from how i interpret the old implementation). However that code branch is only used when specifically the Toshiba Stack is detected.
