Hi,
the problem I have is that the wiimote randomly disconnects, and I remember some years ago I had no problem at all, I played a lot on dolphin with the same wiimote and the same bluetooth usb dongle and I even played half life 2 all over using glovepie with the wiimote and nunchuck, the only change is that back then I was using winXP and now I am using win7 64. I also changed motherbaord, gfx card and ram, not all at once.
Here is all the information I can give you :
- The dongle is a belkin F8T017
- I am using toshiba stack because the others I have tried give even worse results, the last version on their website(I had to modify the inf file to add my dongle). With microsoft stack and broadcom stack as soon as I launch the game (in this case zelda skyward sword), the wiimote is disconnected and a message appears on top of the screen saying "disconnected by emulated software" and whats strange is that the wiimote is recognized in the wiimote options when I click "refresh" but as soon as I launch the game it's gone. With toshiba stack I am able to play but it disconnects every 10 or 15 minutes. And by disconnecting I mean in the toshiba software, so what I have to do each time it happens is to reconnect it the toshiba software, then go back in the wiimote options of dolphin, press 1&2 on the wiimote then click refresh and it works again.
- I have tested in 3 different dophin builds : the 4.0 main version, Dolphin-x64 4.0-9219 and the latest ishiruka's build.
- I am obviously using windows 7 64
- the wiimote is an official one, i am not sure about the nunchuck but it works perfectly
- I have tried the wiipair.exe and pressing the red button near the battery, but it didn't change anything, though the wiipair app didn't report any error
So I don't know what do, what to try. I remember some years ago when it was working flawlessly I was using the widcomm/broadcom stack and it was working great. Do you think I should try lesser known stacks like the logitech one or motorola one ? And where are those bugs coming from ? Dolphin ? Also I don't have access to a real wii to see if the problem comes from the wiimote..
Thanks for the all the help and suggestions you can give me.
