I'm building a dedicated emulation box to that I'm going to use to play all systems up to and including Gamecube and Wii so obviously I'll be running Dolphin for that. I've seen some mention that Dolphin runs faster on a 64-bit OS. However from what I've seen a lot of the old school (NES/SNES/N64 etc.) emulators seem to run better on XP 32-bit. I really want to get them all working with as little technical issues as possible. Suggestions?

Windows 7 x64 is the best choice for everything. There really is no legitimate reason to use Windows XP anymore.

I just wasn't sure if the plugins for the older emulators like P64 work well with 7 or not. Thanks.

Yea XP 64 bit is not a consideration for the exact reason mentioned (poor driver support).
