Anyone know the cheapest/oldest phone that can run Xenoblade Chronicles on Dolphin, say with 20-25 fps?

Is it even a good idea to run something as demanding as Xenoblade Chronicles on a latest phone like the S9+? Would it shorten battery life or damage the phone in some other way?

There is literally no way that game is playable on anything in this weight class. Even among desktop CPU’s that divides the pack.

The target 20-25 fps is terrible underpowered. Keep in mind, if the game has no *perfekt* 30 fps, the audio will get disturbed. So you need a device which archives 40-50 fps in general, so you'll hit the 30 fps in most of the harder spots (every few seconds!)
But fun fact, I think the current top mobiles may be able to get this kind of performance. Maybe I should try this again Wink

On the SD835 I could hit ~20 FPS or so in the first battle in teh tutorial. So maybe on an SD845 you could hit full speed in spots?

And this is without the advanced idle skipping detection. Fun fact, xenoblade has another idle loop....

You are absolutely right, the game runs 30fps Lock > Open World, 30FPS Battles need 100% Override CPU.
The main problem is: Game suffers FPS shuttering/freezes all the time, even if you transfer a full compiled shaders..
Game will crash eventually after Phone Overheating.. Oneplus 6 Tested.
