Hello, I'm experiencing slowdowns after arround 10 min of playing (whatever I do). The game runs well at 30FPS and for an obscur reason, the speed drops to 20FPS after 10 minutes. I can happen in combats or on the map.
The same issue occurs with either official Dolphin distribution or Ishiiruka one.

Has anyone got any idea of the issue.

Is your CPU over heating?

Sounds like overheating to me, but you're running a good desktop build so I'm curious about this one. Maybe your heatsink isn't functioning properly?

Download Openhardwaremonitor from http://openhardwaremonitor.org/, run Xenoblade for awhile and tell us what your temps are

Damned, it's obviously when the CPU overheats from 45° to 55° :

When framerate lowered, I stopped moving in the game and left it as it. The temperature continued to rise until I stopped the emulation :

I restarted the game, temperature was cooling down in-game and reached back 40°

Confused

Those temps aren't very high, I don't think that is the problem.

When you say the official Dolphin distribution, are you saying the official and latest development builds? Because it looks like your CPU usage is lower after 10 minutes, and I've seen this issue before with Ishiiruka but not with the latest official, dev builds.

Good point Leolam... actually, it's been a while since I last used the official distribution and it was quite aged. I downloaded the last stable distribution and everything is fine now. Thanks for that precious help ! Blush

The latest stable release is in fact quite aged. The development versions are recommended instead.
