Hello Dolphin Forums, I am brand new to all of this, yet I believe I have a decent enough PC to be able to emulate as good as the emulation in this YOUTUBE video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tWJxfDj8pQ

Unfortunately, I keep getting VERY laggy patches of 20-25 FPS which are hard on the experience. I even asked the OP of the YT video for help but all he did was refer me to an outdated video Sad Anyway, I was wondering if a kind soul could help me figure out how to avoid such lagginess by suggesting what settings I should use.

I have Dolphin 4.0-729 and I am running Windows 7 64bit on a gtx970 with 12gig RAM and decent HDD. My monitor is 1080p so I get that it should look decent, considering I have the upgraded texture packs installed as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone.

The most important factor for Dolphin is CPU , what is your CPU ? Telling us your CPU is i7 will not help , Dolphin is a dual core app , an outdated i7 is even slower than latest dual core Pentium

1. get the latest dev version

2. understand that some stutters come about as the shadercache is built and stuff like that

3. if all else fails, OC the CPU if possible.
