Is there any way to fix screen tearing without Vsync?

Usually Vsync fixes this issue, but when I enable it on this game, it just gets stuck on the "Reading Disc" screen at the start.
If I turn Vsync off, the game works fine, but I now get screen tearing.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks.

I think you can enable Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate to make the Reading Disc screen shorter. The problem is that it uses an uncapped framerate, which gets capped to 60 fps by vsync, making Dolphin emulate it terribly slowly.

I did the Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate and it worked! Thanks a lot!!!!

I think maybe this solution should be on the Dolphin Wiki?

Does Dolphin use some form of triple buffering? I thought that unless you had a 120 Hz monitor, getting 60 FPS with vsync enabled was impossible, because the maximum FPS with vsync enabled is your monitor's refresh rate / 2.

Nope, this is not correct. Normal Vsync with interval 1 will (aim to) lock to the native refresh rate of the monitor. You can vsync to half or quarter or whatever the rate, too, but the programmer has to specifically choose to do that.
