Xenoblade Chronicles Random Freezing

this is strange, because i've played xenoblade 2 years ago without freeze problems and with 3.0 dolphin, win xp x32. now i have win 7 x64, intel core 2 duo cpu 2.83 ghz and double ram as bevor 4000 gb.
it shows no differences in fps if i play with 1x Native or 3x Native and slightly with 4x so i don't think it's the CPU that cause the sound problem with dolphin 4.0.
any suggestions?.

This is actually symptomatic of a CPU performance problem. If you can't hit fullspeed on 1x, you can't on any higher IR either. Increasing the IR isn't hurting performance because your CPU was bottlenecked at 1xIR. That's a fairly weak CPU for XC. Exactly which CPU model do you have? E8300? That's a 5 year old CPU and I don't think it can be overclocked.

It worked two years ago because the 3.0 emulator didn't emulate the hardware of the Wii as accurately, so it was faster but also full of bugs. You can certainly download an older version to improve performance on your legacy hardware, but there may be bugs that simply cannot be fixed. That's the tradeoff.

Yes, it is the E8300 model. i will try older versions then. they all run smootly with good performance and sound, the question is how long.
