So I've had this running for the past couple days and I'd say it runs pretty well - but the small hiccups and sound glitches every time I do battle is really wearing me down to the point that I just don't want to play it anymore. I purchased it on my 3DS not too long ago, and although it's butter smooth - I can barely see what's going on and it looks horrible. Wish I could play it at high resolution AND be butter smooth - so I'm asking for help.

It's a new Macbook Pro 15", with the GT750M and 2.6ghz quad core processor. The game, for the most part sticks at 30fps...occasionally going down to 25fps for a few seconds here and there. The main issue is the sound and frame stuttering every so often, especially entering battle scenes. It's definitely tolerable, but wears on me after an hour or so of playing.

I initially thought that maybe it my laptop just wasn't quick enough to run it butter smooth, so I started playing around and lowering the settings. However, the game plays the EXACT same no matter what resolution I throw at it (1x , 2x , 2.5x, 3x , etc), and no matter how much I crank up the settings. Which leads me to believe that it's a software issue rather than hardware. Am I correct in assuming this?

I am running the latest version of Dolphin for OSX.

Any ideas?

Update: forgot to add that one thing I've noticed that it runs a LOT better when it's not in "fullscreen" mode. Performance literally gets cut in half. Even if I run it in window'd mode and move the edges of the window to the edges of my screen (basically full screen) - it runs fine. But as soon as I put it into full screen the performance dives considerably. This seems to help a lot (even though it doesn't make a whole lot of sense).

I think I finally figured it out. I just put everything to default, put the graphics at 4x, and make sure to run in windowed mode....and it seems to be working fine. I'm not sure why windowed mode runs so much faster, but if anyone is on a Mac....try running the games in windowed mode and see if it helps.

Now the only thing left is to figure out how to install this texture pack. Any one that has a Mac figure out how to install the HD textures for this thing? Maybe I'll make a separate thread for that.
