Xenoblade Chronicles HD Texture Pack v8.52 - (August 21, 2018)

A little progress update on the grass draw distance, however I'm gonna by a little honest here. Although yes the distance has been increased, it doesn't really feel like a "game changer" like the previous patch did. It's more like a complementary thing, rather than an actual improvement. Edit: Also what happened to the dynamic mipmaps, the grass feels really weird/ out of place without it? 05-08-2017, 07:36 AM
My bad, I forgot the grass textures in Bionis Leg/Colony 6 used them. Although its my grass texture, long ago BrunoFBK modified it using an original/upscaled grass texture for the top layer, then a brighter version of my grass texture for the next layer, then a darker version of the texture for lower layers. This looked kinda strange, so I eventually redid these mipmaps with a much more subtle effect, maybe too subtle since I forgot it was even there.
When working on the most recent version, I manually went through every environment texture by hand, keeping only dynamic layers and deleting the ones that were generated from the top level. I definitely overlooked this grass texture, I'll make sure to fix it, and even give the other areas the same effect.
A small update. I'm not a big fan of making patches like this, so when I get the chance I'll eventually merge the changes. This fixes the missing dynamic mipmaps for Bionis Leg/Colony 6, adds the effect to other grass textures, adds grass/tree textures to Alcamoth, adds the updated barrel texture, and greatly tones down the contrast of grass textures in Eryth Sea so you don't have to squint to look at them.

Why do 8.2b's readme ask me install in "Textures\Load" ?
Isn't it "Load\Textures" ?? 06-04-2017, 09:55 PM

Thanks for the reply JosJuice.
So i have a 1080p monitor, and in the "Dolphin OpenGL Graphics Confg" menu. Fullscreen Resolution is set to "Auto". Also, the V-Sync and Use Fullscreen check boxes are unchecked. Thank you! -rudy EDIT: Ahh, the Enhancements tab, I see the Internal Resolution setting and it was at Native.... thank you! Any other graphic settings I should bother jiggering with? EDIT 2: Holy crap. It looks amazing... |
